Artha Classes for Crafts Awareness

Artha for ChildrenArtha for Adults

Artha Institute’s education is to advance our understanding of the world around us through exploration of the creative mind. Colors, textures, forms and meanings hidden behind the natural world, as well as the ingenuity and uniqueness of diverse crafts of the world, are intricately connected to one another. If one values, cherishes and conserves the diversity in the natural world, one will tend to be more tolerant, sensitive and respectful towards the diversity within our civilizations, cultures and religions.

Artha Institute offers foundation and advanced creative training educating global audience about the richness and diversity of arts and crafts around the world. Our education programs are designed keeping in consideration various techniques, subject areas, cultural contexts, crafts techniques and individual interests. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all approach to creativity. We believe that creative education is not only for aspiring artists or craftsmen, but for any and every one who is interested in understanding the immensity of nature’s creation and ingenuity of our own actions.

We are unique from other creativity classes and schools in the following ways:

  1. Our strategy and pedagogy of education and training are inspired by our core values of alliance, responsibility, truth, humility and altruism.
  2. We offer a variety of in-depth courses with integration of cultural and environmental principles, with exploration of international painting styles, crafts techniques, creative processes, such as Indian miniature style paintings to foster respect and awareness for these time-honored creative pursuits.
  3. We do not copy other artists’ works in our education. We teach how to create original creative work. We take inspiration from traditional arts and crafts from cultures around the world, but encourage originality at every stage.
  4. Our courses are mid- to long-term commitments. We see artistic exploration and development of artistic skills as dedicated journeys, and not casual excursions.
  5. Our class sizes are small. The size does not exceed 5 students per class. This allows our teachers to provide individualized attention to our students.
